Properties and composition of chromite ore sand
The main chemical composition of chromium ore sand is cr2O3. This type of sand has stable heating volume and high thermal conductivity. When in contact with molten metal, it not only has a good resistance to alkaline slag and does not react chemically with iron oxide, but also has the characteristics of solid phase sintering. It can effectively prevent the infiltration of molten metal and avoid the occurrence of sand defects. It is suitable for various types of stainless steel, alloy steel, and carbon steel gradually molding and core making raw sand and coatings.
